Eliud Kipchoge inspires Manchester United ahead of Premier League clash against Liverpool

Double Olympic Champion Eliud Kipchoge has visited Manchester United’s Carrington training center bringing a wave of inspiration just hours before their key match against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

This visit came shortly after Kipchoge’s trip to Barcelona, where he engaged with the British America’s Cup team, INEOS Britannia, showcasing his involvement across diverse sporting disciplines within the INEOS Sports Family.

Kipchoge, renowned for his record-breaking marathon feats including the INEOS 1:59 Challenge shared his experiences and insights on performance optimization.

“From Barcelona to Manchester. It has been great to visit the different teams of the INEOS Sports Family. Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit @manchesterunited and exchange knowledge with the performance team and players,” Kipchoge posted on his Instagram.

The athlete’s social media update included images with key Manchester United players such as Bruno Fernandes and Mount, capturing moments of their interaction.

The visit underscores the cross-pollination of ideas and techniques between different sports, facilitated by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the British billionaire and Manchester United minority owner.

Ratcliffe’s support of Kipchoge’s sub-two-hour marathon project underlines a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of human performance through scientific and strategic collaboration.
