UDA-nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has once again found herself at the center of public attention due to her actions and statements in the year 2024.
Known for her controversies, Nyamu’s recent activities have sparked discussions on social media platforms and in public discourse, with people dissecting her personal life, political engagements, and public conduct.
One recent incident that sparked significant outrage occurred on August 27, when Karen Nyamu attended the launch of Raila Odinga’s AUC chairmanship bid at State House.
The event was graced by President William Ruto, other heads of state and government, former presidents, diplomats, and various government representatives.
In a video that has since gone viral, Karen Nyamu was seen walking around with what appeared to be a lollipop in her mouth.
The Senator went round greeting attendees while eating a lollipop that had a white stick, a behaviour that many netizens have criticised as embarrassing and inappropriate for such a prestigious event.

Karen Nyamu has openly shared that she is open to dating a younger man who may rely on her for support, a type often referred to as a ‘Ben 10’.
In a past video, Nyamu mentioned that she has thought about the idea, highlighting that the concept is more about dependency than age.
“A ‘Ben 10’ is essentially about dependency, about a man relying on you. While he would be younger, it’s also possible to have a younger man who is hardworking,” she said.
Another incident that stirred significant outrage occurred on September 15 when Karen Nyamu shared a video instructing her driver to take the wrong side of the road while heading to Parliament.
Despite the evident danger posed to other road users, Nyamu boldly encouraged her driver to break the law confidently, sparking condemnation from Kenyan netizens.
Following a similar incident involving a Super Metro driver who faced charges, there are calls for Nyamu to be held accountable under the law.
