Double Olympic medallist Letsile Tebogo is rapidly becoming one of the most celebrated athletes in the world as his achievements on the track begin to translate into significant rewards off it.
The 21-year-old sprint sensation, who made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is now enjoying the fruits of his hard-earned success with endorsements and sponsorships flooding in.
In a major announcement, DLA Piper Africa revealed its official partnership with the Botswanan sensation, naming the law firm as Tebogo’s legal sponsor.
“Letsile has put Africa on the map in the sprinting world, igniting a wave of pride and ambition in Botswana and across the entire African continent,” said Terence Dambe, Managing Partner at Minchin & Kelly (DLA Piper Africa, Botswana).
This agreement will see the global law firm provide him with legal services not only in Botswana but across Africa and globally.

Tebogo’s meteoric rise began in 2019, when he first stepped onto the track as a teenager. Born in Kanye, Botswana, he quickly became a formidable force in athletics, breaking records and claiming titles at various distances.
His crowning achievement came at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he won Botswana’s first-ever Olympic gold in the men’s 200m, finishing in a continental record time of 19.46 seconds.

Beyond the accolades and international recognition, Tebogo’s accomplishments are bringing tangible benefits back home.
The Botswanan government has promised him a four-bedroom apartment and a $75,000 (9,656,250)cash prize as a reward for his historic Olympic performance.
Additionally, he is set to receive $3,600 (Ksh 463,500)for reaching the finals in both the 100m and 200m races, with further cash rewards from private institutions potentially adding up to an impressive $260,000 (33,475,000) .
